Our Guides and Patrons for Healing, Spiritual Journey, and Discovery.
Angels are celestial beings created by God. They are representations of God’s divinity and love. As with all of creation, there are different forms or types of angels. The ones close to humans are our Guardian Angels and Archangels. Guardian Angels are the ones that guide and guard us, no matter who or what we are. Archangels, on the other hand, are emissaries of God to give us God’s message, remind us of His holy presence and guide us to our divine purpose. The name Arch was taken from the Greek word Archi, meaning, principal or chief; and Angel, from Angelos, meaning messenger of God.
Archangels are present in different religions and beliefs. This only shows God’s creations are beholden to not one religion but are universal in divinity, light, and love. There are 7 known Archangels: Michael, Gabriel, Raphael, Uriel, Raguel, Zadkiel, and Raziel. Although there are others from different scriptures, these 7 are the most prominent ones. They are powerful, representing the different facets and qualities of God’s love, light, and divinity. They emit specific divine light and love to all of us and this world. As with the cosmic order of things, Archangels respect and acknowledge our own free will. Therefore, they will only intervene and help us if we ask them to; without judgement and no matter what our religious inclinations.
Archangel Michael
The Archangel Michael is a powerful angel of protection, courage, strength, and clarity. He is always depicted with his mighty sword of light slaying the demon or dragon. This depiction actually reflects his role in our lives – through his light energy we can slay our own inner demons – ego, fears, and anxiety – to be able to see with clarity our life’s divine purpose. His name means “He who is like God,” thus, he holds the message of divine will and love; working with us to realize and actualize our intention. Throughout mankind’s earthly struggles, he’s been there to encourage and guide leaders and lightworkers on their purpose and intentions.
Archangel Raphael
Working with Archangel Raphael, he is also the patron of the sick. Sickness and disorders are the physical manifestations of our inner turmoils, emotional and mental struggles. Michael helps us by untangling or cutting with his sword of light these turmoils, emotions, and psychological problems for spiritual and emotional healing, enabling us to receive physical healing. As with all the Archangels, it is easy to invoke his help, just ask and call out his name and you will feel his divine presence with a prevalent soothing warmth that if you are not used to can make you feel a bit overheated from within.
The Archangel Raphael is the patron of healers and doctors. His name came from the Hebrew word rophe that mean “to heal.” He helps in the healing of sickness, and aids in reducing cravings and addiction. Once his assistance in healing is called, often for major illness and injuries, they are cured immediately. He works in restoring a person’s peace and harmony. He works with Michael in healing from within, both spiritually and emotionally. As Michael helps us in cutting off the tentacles of fears and inner demons and brings us clarity; Raphael brings us peace and harmony. He is also the patron of travelers for safety in traveling.
Here is a simple prayer to Archangel Raphael for healing: Dear Archangel Raphael, I invite you to enter into my personal space and time. Envelop me with your healing love and light. Help me let go of all the negative thoughts and emotions that are causing my illness. Support me as I flush out all emotional and thought patterns that are blocking me from revealing my true radiant self physically and spiritually. Encapsulate me into your emerald green light and love of healing to uplift my heart, mind, body, soul, and spirit.
Thank you, my dear Archangel Raphael, for your intervention, and healing love and light.
Archangel Gabriel
The Archangel Gabriel is God’s emissary. She’s one of the two archangels named in the Bible, both in the Old and New Testament. Because she is the messenger of God, she’s the patron of communication. Her name means “God is my strength.” As the patron of journalists, writers, teachers, and artists, she gives inspiration, motivation and shows the way to convey messages clearly. If your profession is in, or you aspire to work in, any form of communication and arts, invite Archangel Gabriel into your life, to lead you towards your mission to convey through your words, music or arts true love and light.
She is often represented holding a trumpet; as the messenger, bearer of God’s thoughts and actions to us. And all of God’s thoughts and actions are geared towards our greater good. Archangel Gabriel is also the Angel of Water and Revelation. Water as you know, represents our subconscious, our source of power. She holds an important part in our own personal introspection and self-actualization as she helps reveal what’s already inside of us in the first place. Invite Angel Gabriel into your life to reveal to you the secrets of problem-solving, surrender, release and the revelation of your gifts.
Archangel Uriel
The Archangel Uriel is the angel of wisdom and light. His name means “Fire of God or Light of God.” He is the holder of higher knowledge and wisdom. He helps by lighting our way to our own path of spiritual growth. He is our teacher and guide with his wisdom and love. He is the patron of lightworkers, indigo children and seekers. We are all seekers in our own right, seekers of meaning and deeper purpose. Invite his guidance and mentorship as you take on the challenges of your life’s lessons. He is connected to the gift of claircognizance; knowing things and facts without reading or hearing elsewhere, a product of deep knowledge from within.
Archangel Uriel emanates light of red, purple, and gold colors. He is the patron of spiritual knowledge and understanding and those who seek the path of enlightenment. When you are stuck in your spiritual life, invoke his presence and light to oversee your spiritual struggle to reinforce your action with integrity and your truth. Archangel Uriel guides you to live your life at higher dimensions and frequencies. He enables you to discern, think and act within these dimensions and higher frequencies, enhancing your human experience.
Archangel Zadakiel
The Archangel Zadakiel is also known as Zadkiel, Hesediel in Hebrew, Zedekul, and Chesediel in Coptic texts. He is the Archangel of freedom, benevolence and mercy and patron of forgiveness. His name means “justice of God.” He is the angel of God who prevented Abraham from slaying and sacrificing his son Isaac. He has the holy purpose of aiding us in finding within ourselves the divine facets of mercy, goodwill, and compassion. As the patron of forgiveness, mercy, and compassion; invite his presence into your life and receive the gift of clairaudience to enhance the capacity to hear and listen.
Being the Archangel of freedom, benevolence, and mercy, he helps us understand beyond ego or emotions the greater good relationships with others bring to us. He also enables us to understand our higher selves. He brings us to a higher understanding of ourselves, forgiving ourselves and others by allowing us to see a more positive side to what we think are categorically wrongful acts we or others have done to us. He helps us see them in a different light.
Archangel Raziel
The Archangel Raziel is God’s keeper of secrets and Angel of Mysteries. His name means “secret of God.” He is often surrounded by yellow light and when you experience his presence, you are likely to receive creative ideas. His holy purpose is to aid us in understanding the secrets of reality and life; to fully embrace the mysteries, secrets, and principles that turn the wheel of life.
Archangel Raziel helps us heal our psychic and spiritual blocks. He also helps in dream interpretation and past life memories. You’ll know and acknowledge his presence when you see a rainbow, whether after a rain or no rain at all. Be ready to be given the gifts of ideas and creativity. Invite him into your life as you embark on a new adventure in business or work, to work with you in creating new things and ideas that will give comfort, pleasure, and purpose to you and others. He enhances our extrasensory perceptions including clairvoyance (ESP for visions), clairalience (ESP for smell), and clairgustance(ESP for tastes).
Archangel Raguel
The Archangel Raguel is the Angel of Justice in the Judaic tradition. His name means “friend of God.” He oversees all the archangels and other angels, working together in order and harmony. In our realm, he makes sure justice is being served at its highest order. In totality, his holy purpose is to see all people be given what they deserve in terms of justice and serve the greater good of all creation. For the complex crimes of stealing, killing, and mistreatment of others, he ensures justice is served. He helps the victims, including their families and especially children, overcomes the injustice or mistreatment and regains their respect and free will.
On a personal level, Archangel Raguel establishes justice by helping us solve problems caused by stressors. He brings vindication to those wrongfully accused especially when spiritual integrity is questioned. He is the preserver of spiritual convictions by redirecting the anger of the maltreated towards constructive and mutually beneficial resolutions. Love and light does not know, act or move out of anger but responds in peaceful resolutions that benefit all. This is justice in the highest order. He also helps us in our extrasensory ability of clairsentience, or the ability for sensing/feeling strong emotions of people, animals, spirits, and places.
Archangels are tasked by God to manifest his will and love for us. Their holy purposes are to assist us, as givers of light for healing, clarity, bringing order and justice, and to realize our fullest potentials as spiritual beings on earth. Special mentions are Archangel Jophiel and Metatron.
Archangel Jophiel
The Archangel Jophiel is the patron of artists; her name means “beauty of God.” Her holy purpose is to help us see beauty and positivity in thoughts and actions. As the patron of artists, she helps them manifest and create beauty in art that moves us to see things in a positive light. She brings calmness and helps tame our ego, helping us heal amidst the chaos and negativity in our surroundings.
Archangel Metatron
The Archangel Metatron is one of two Archangels who were humans first before ascending to heaven to become angels. Metatron holds a special place in Kabbalistic and Judaic scriptures for being human; overcoming human frailties to become an angel of God. He is known as the keeper of records and teacher of spiritual powers. His presence is manifested by flashes of bright light, as a human became a celestial being, his physical body turns to crystalline form that reflects and emanates different colors of light in all direction. This light emanation is similar when we meditate on Merkabah or the Divine Light Vehicle. Enveloped in his light, you will feel warmth from the inside and encapsulated in his pale golden egg or bubble. Other psychics have seen his light with dark pink and green, with his geometric spinning cube that emanates light similar to Ezekiel’s Chariot of Light.
On a personal level, Archangel Metatron helps in maintaining positivity in thought patterns and actions, in the transformation of spiritual practices of mindfulness, positive resolutions and thought patterns into our daily lives. He helps us cultivate our love and compassion for all humanity and creation.
